Episode 8 of Upon Further Review!

We’re a bit late this week with Episode 8 of Upon Further Review, but we just moved…and we’re hot and tired from the experience, not to mention a bit perturbed with those who did (or didn’t) help us along the way! In this episode we thank those who got in contact with us this past week before moving on to address the three “S”s: first, we look at The Salvation Army and ask how difficult they really want to make it to be, well, charitable (Goodwill, Housing Works and the Institute of Jewish Humanities get a few knocks as well); second, we examine the finer points of mistreating your workforce as we review Sears (we take a passing glance at PC Richard & Son while we’re at it); and finally, we blow it all up with our review of the Smart Bomb Radio podcast. As always, we appreciate your spreading the word about the show, contacting us with comments, opinions, and things you’d like us to review, and generally just being the nice listeners you all are! (As usual, podsafe intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

    Clea, Greg,

So you moved to the Bronx… I can’t help but look back to the animal shelter review where one of the question you were asked was “do you live in the Bronx?” Very clever of you to wait until you got the dog before moving…

Great show. A/C troubles and unions are very near and dear to my heart, as A/C is important to me since marrying my cold-air loving wife, Nicole a.k.a. Jimmy Hoffa, as she’s lovingly referred to by her father.

Stay cool. See you on ep9!

Shhh, they might hear you… :) But yeah…oddly this A/C thing is going to be relevant again in the very near future, with the rapidly approaching summer months…

P.S. Notice, everyone, that we try to respond to almost every comment we can? Why not follow Chris’s lead? :)

So that’s where Jimmy Hoffa went!
