Episode 3 of Upon Further Review!

Once again we’re back to regale you with reviews of old and new, as we proudly present Episode 3 of Upon Further Review (apparently three times can be the charm after all)! In this show Greg pays homage to Podpress before The Reviewers move on to take a look at various forms of entertainment: first, video games, as we discuss Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones (and how much frustration Greg can take from interacting with a bunch of pixels); second, theater, as we get in touch with our high culture sides while reviewing The Threepenny Opera (and Clea even got to meet Cyndi Lauper!); and finally, podcasts, as we take a look at the (hopefully not violent) collision of science and science fiction in The Eclectic Review. All this, and Gizoogle too, clearly makes us the shiznit…or something. Anyway, please leave a comment, E-mail us, call our voice mail, and add yourself to our Frappr map–and most importantly, spread the word about the show…as always, we’re most grateful for the growing support. (Additional podsafe music is provided in this episode by the great Kurt Weill; as always, the intro music is provided by Sharif (“You’re My Girl”), outro by David Henderson (“We Gotta Go”).)

Can’t agree with you enough about dropping save points! Nothing more annoying. I’m sure it’s probably a developer job security thing or something…

Love that you review older games. So nice not to be the only one who scours the bargain bins. Some of the things you described in PoP remind me of one I found in the bins, Aeon Flux. Though it might be kind of ok, but turns out to be a really fun game. Worth a few bucks at EB Games or GameStop (boy, I hope you review those sometime ;-) if you see it.

Cindy Lauper is a great voice talent, but haven’t seen much acting of hers that I cared for. Did she use her overplayed new NY accent in this role?

    See you on ep 4!
