hey! thought everyone might find this interesting on the subject of homeopathy:
£10,000 offered for proof homeopathy works
Professor Edzard Ernst says he will award £10,000 to the first person who can show the controversial treatment is better than a placebo in a scientifically controlled trial. Calling on homeopaths to 'put up or shut up', Professor Ernst said there was still no strong evidence that the method - whose fans include Prince Charles and Hollywood celebrities - was effective.

What a show, G&C!

Sorry to hear your puppy isn't doing well. Hope she gets well soon, whatever the treatment. I agree w/ ii: homeopathy seems counterintuitive. I understand though, though, having a gaggle of pets myself (2 dogs, 4 cats, 2 birds, 3 aquariums and a koi pond, plus feeding anywhere from 4 - 12 stray cats), that sometimes you just want to exhaust all possibilities.

Personally, I think Colbert's extreme, over-the-top style is what makes him hilarious, especially when he interviews people (the ones that 'get it', as you put it). I have to disagree, though, that his show is just a parody, as that makes it seem kind of empty or a total joke. I believe that while he takes things to the extreme that there is substance and values behind the show, same as the Daily Show (which I love, also) takes things to the extreme, but also has substance and values behind it. Personally, what I like about Colbert's show is that it isn't afraid to laugh at itself, whereas Stewart does a wonderful job, but sometimes takes himself and the show a little too seriously and gets in his own way.

Thanks, again, for an awesome time! See you on 57!

Yeah, I must agee with you about Mr. Colbert - he's often too exaggerated, over-the-top; I prefer Jon's subtetly much better (although I find him funny too).
The one thing I truly like about him is the coinage of neologisms (truthiness!).

Now when it comes to homeopathy... I haven't made any research about it so please disconsider my opinion when I say it sounds like total bs. I mean, it is hard to believe that a substance being diluted more and more to the extent that there is barely of it causes more effect... it doesn't make sense.
